Wall Street Journal reported that Nintendo will make a mobile game set in the Legend of Zelda franchise, not long before the rumor that a new Pokemon mobile card game will be released came up lately.
It is said that Nintendo partners Pokemon Co. to release a Pokemon-based mobile CCG (collectible cards mobile game). It is believed that digital trading card games are quite profitable when done right, such as Wizards of the Coast's Magic: The Gathering Online and Blizzard's Hearthstone.
The new Pokemon card game is likely monetized via card pack purchases, and allows players to battle with others with cards in various gameplay modes. The mobile game will probably be free to play as Pokemon Co. lets players experience Pokemon card game on PC for free.
As Pokemon GO mobile game fades away and loses users, Nintendo might realize that updates of the game alone would not win players back anymore. Why not just make another Pokemon game? How do you think? Tell us your thoughts and leave a comment below!
